The Seminole Heights Garden Center is a focal point for the neighborhood. Events of all kinds have been held here, including weddings, wakes, and neighborhood association meetings. Until the recent remodel, the building was heavily used by Bay Area garden clubs of all sorts. The Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association used it as the starting point for their annual home tour.

The center may now be rented from the city for private events like weddings. The occupancy rate is 250 persons. The fee runs around $130 per hour with a four hour minimum. Inside the facility there is a large, professional kitchen, automated audio-visual equipment, bathrooms, the original fireplace, and plenty of beautiful windows.

At the dedication ceremony in April 2010, Mayor Iorio and a few city council members cut the ribbon and dedicated the public art piece.
